How will i know what my repayments will be?

When agreeing the cost of your repair, simply give the Service Advisor your Bumper Code.

They’ll send you a link to set up your plan on your smartphone or face-to-face using our secure platform.

You can pick the number of months you’d like to spread the cost over and choose a repayment date that suits you.

Depending on your chosen partner, your first payment may be required to start your payment plan.

You’ll never pay more for your servicing or repair bill when spreading the cost. And, we’ll never inform the partner about your Credit Limit or share any of your information without your consent.

A few common questions that you might be thinking.

  • We charge our partners a small service charge when you choose to split your payment with Bumper, and ensure that they never pass this cost to you. That way we keep it all as simple as possible for you.

  • We understand sometimes things can go wrong and we are here to help you. If we are unable to collect a payment on the scheduled date, we will reattempt your payment within 7 days. We will also attempt to contact you to discuss your situation. We will only charge a late payment fee if you have not paid us within 7 days of the repayment date and we cannot agree a reasonable repayment plan with you. The late payment fee will be £20, unless your loan is under £200 in which case the fee will be 10% of your loan amount. We will also charge a reasonable fee if we need to instruct a third-party debt collection agency to assist us in collecting your loan. This step will only be taken if your loan is three payments in arrears and we cannot agree a reasonable repayment plan with you. If you think you are experiencing financial difficulties and are worried you are at risk of missing any of your payments, please contact us, and we'll do our best to help you.

  • Yes, we perform a soft credit check when you apply for a Credit Limit. This will not affect your credit score.

    We’re obligated to make regular reports about the status of agreed payment plans. Therefore, these plans will show in your report. This can help to build your credit score as long as you are up to date with your payments.

  • In some cases, an upfront payment may be required, depending on the partner you choose and the specifics of your repair plan. When you set up your payment plan, the need for an upfront payment will be clearly shown, so you’ll know exactly what to expect before finalising any payments.
